Poem#19 Promise & Waiting
Genesis
If we should have learned anything since the Beginning
The Promises of God will take time to fulfill our Obedience
Waiting for us to completely Surrender to Trusting Him
The Seed of Christ was the First Promise to be planted
Waiting for the hearts of Mankind to turn from their Pride
Stubborn as our Pride our Hearts were in need of a flood
Building of the Ark took time as the rains of Heaven gaithered
Preparing the hearts of Noah & His Sons to mature as rains came
How many days will it take to prepare our Heart? 40 days & Nights?
The Promise to Abraham wasn’t any different in the waiting of Isaac
Using the waiting in cleaning out hearts again of pride & lack of Trust
Weeding around the seed of Christ in fulfilling of the Road
From Isaac to Jacob to Joesph each fulfilling of God’s Promises
In between the waiting was the pruning of hearts full of Pride in us
While they looked on in a pit, to prison to Maturity in Egypt
How long was the waiting from the Promise made to fulfilling
Each Chosen was given Faith, acounting of Righteousness
Still each one fought with pride, getting in their own way
Each one of us has been given a Promise by God & He’s Waiting
How long will it take to weed out to pruning pride from our Hearts
The Seed of Christ has grown up to become the Lamb we couldn’t
God can out wait any Man, any Woman but how long until time runs
40 days & nights, by flood, by wondering in the wilderness to grow up
We’re all spotted, lambs with defects in need of a Savior that died for Us
The Promise has been fulfilled now waiting on the seeds of Abraham
Including the Seeds of the far off the for the Sons & Daughters to fulfill
The Adoption of becoming Children of God who is our Promise in Jesus
