Poem#20 How Quickly
Matthew 16, Ephesians 6, John 12:24
Guarding of our Heart & Minds needs to be reminded
Even more in the day & age of the speed of twisting truth
& the devil trying to keep parents prying eyes from knowing
Looking back at Peter after Jesus asked who he said He was
After Peter said Jesus was the Son of God, how quickly he turned
How quickly being under the influence of the devil a Disciple
We’re not battling the flesh of skin & blood, but Spiritual battles
So if those closest to Christ have to be on guard to watch the dark
How much more so do those getting played like puppets & not know
While the devil uses people under the influence to do his bidding
While the Church sleeps & get into quarrels instead of getting ready
Put on the full armor of God & get to praying like a Church in Battle
Disciple’s need to guard hearts like Peter can fall in a moment’s notice
A weakness of pride, one little white lie of a window opening is enough
How Quickly can the wrong seed get planted & how it grows like Sin
Get behind me satan the voice of the Lord is my Shepherd we hear say
Who died saving Us then was planted like a seed of wheat in the ground
How Quickly the Seed of Christ multiplies upon a Risen Savior
How Quickly can we get into the full armor of God to deflect arrows
How Quickly can we get to Praying in the only Name of Full Authority
Over our Families, Over our schools, Over the Country we Live in
