Poem#20 Us
Genesis 1:26, Matthew 6:9-13
Everything that started in Genesis was never about me, myself and I
We’re made in the likeness of God the Father, God the Son, and Spirit
The Lord took Adam’s rib to remind us we’re not to work alone
Looking throughout scripture will find nobody was serving God alone
Since the Garden of Eden we’ve been created to work with the Lord
Adam was in charge of naming what God created as Partner on lease
The Lord has fulfilling scripture the promising of the Seed in Genesis 3:15
Through those that Believed so God counted as Righteousness in Them
The family tree is full of “ Here am I send Me” as Partner to the Lord
God used the most ordinary people to do most extraordinary wonders
Through a Virgin Birth, through choosing the Twelve to deliver the Gospel
Jesus taught us that the Lord has always been with us never forsaken
Our Father who’s in heaven that gives Our daily bread, forgive Our Sins
Jesus has been faithful even while we’re battling pride good or bad done
Not understanding until seeing Jesus carrying the Cross meant for my death
God’s law and God’s Grace was always meant to work together for Our Good
Like Our Faith and Believing work together in Trusting God’s Word with our steps
Trusting even when the footprints left behind is His when He carried us
The Lord is calling on the Willing and Able to simply Trust what He’s given
If the Lord can use people that drink like dogs, He will use the weakest of us
The Lord will show the Strength of His Grace that saved us again and again
