Poem#4 Sing & Forget
Exodus 15
The People were finally free being slaves to Pharaoh no more
So they sang the song of Moses in thanks be to God for rescue
Though far from being the People God was working them to be
Instead of being grateful they became What have you done Lately
The People should have stuck to their victory song of praise, instead
Started their wining song of yeah but Complaining forty year tour
The People never understood the test God put before them to pass
If only they would follow God by the path of His Word set before them
Cloud by day Fire by night to the Oasis & Beyond until the Promise Land
We’re far from perfect, as God has rescued each of us with a Song
How quickly have we forgotten between Victory Song & song of defeat
When will we understand the Lord’s with us in every battle in every storm
The People had a long way to go preparing for the Lord to be God
For us the Lord has come to be the Lamb we couldn’t & saved us
For whosoever would choose to make Jesus Lord their God
The Song has always been to Love the Lord Our God to be His People
Everything God has done so we could know Him as Our Lord & God
Never Forget we’re His People so He’s always Our God Alone
