Poem#53 How Many Times
Hebrews
God was walking in the cool of the Day Looking for Adam & Eve
Giving Adam & Eve every chance to come clean about Sinning
Time After Time from setting His People in Egypt free to the Cross
Instead of grumbling & complaining we could be Living for Jesus
The More we deny Jesus as the Son of God more hearts grow hard
How many chances will we get to turn from our ways & turn to God
Egypt to the Jordan River could have been a shorter trip then 40 years
If God’s People would have humbled themselves in gratefulness of thanks
Instead grumbling every step & turning to Sin instead of God who Saves
Tomorrow’s no promise of rising with the sun nows the time to Believe
That Jesus is the Son of God who came not to condemn but to Save
Jesus being the Way, and the Life isn’t complicated as He’s God
How many times did God try getting pride out of His People
Unfortunately His People refused to Listen, Refusing to Repent
Not even when God Himself was born in a Manger to die on a Cross
The Kingdom of God is at Hand don’t be like the People so Blind
Don’t let Pride keep us from Seeing God as Jesus dying on a Cross
Reaching East to West for Our Sin so we Believe to be Saved
