Poem#69 Be Ready, Let Jesus
2nd Thessalonians 1,2,3
Jesus never said to be anxious, Jesus never said to be Worried
So why are we as His People anxious when we should be calm
Jesus is Returning, but doesn’t mean to get ahead of Him
Be Ready with Jesus waiting on His Call when He says to move
Until then Be Still the Anxious Heart, Let Warning Sirens be Silent
Let Jesus be the calm of the Storm that’s making His People Afraid
Because Jesus never said to be Afraid, to fear the coming of the End
How many times did Jesus say the exact opposite of what we’re feeling
So why are we pushing fear of His Coming on those He’s calling Home
Be Moving when Jesus says to move, speak when Jesus says to speak
Through the Holy Spirit let Him be Jesus through the stillness of His Voice
As if Jesus is Beside Us on His Mountain talking of the valley below
We wouldn’t move as Soldiers in an Army unless the General said so
So why are we moving when Jesus hasn’t told us to go to speak of Signs
Yes Be Watchful, but also be Listening for the voice of Jesus
When we’re with the Good Shepherd long enough will know His Voice
And will know the difference between the Wolves hiding in sheep’s Wool
Nothing we can do when the Valley below refuses to Believe, but
Be Ready with Jesus watching from His Mountain, Be Jesus His Time
Until then get back to Loving Jesus by Feeding His Sheep Good News
Be Ready & Let Jesus be Jesus, until Jesus comes as the King Of Kings
