Poem#87 Humbled Heart

Inspired by Thursday night’s Bible study of Luke 1

Poem#87 Humbled Heart

Luke 1:39-80

Nothings more humbling then finding a Servant’s Heart

Nothing owed nothing of demands just of gratitude of Him

The Same Light that Hovered us into existence sought Us

Since the Beginning Jesus has wanted to dwell in our Servant’s heart

The same God that spoke Creation out of nothing had our hearts in sight

Out of all the people He could have chosen as Servant’s Hearts

Many will claim to have followed Jesus as the cast out demons

But they won’t have the Servant’s Heart that beats Blood of Jesus

They will never understand why He chose a Virgin Girl’s Womb

The Proud will never see how blind they’ve become in hiding Sin

Never be so proud as it’s not shame keeping us from our knees

Nothing can keep us away from Jesus except our failure to move

Thankfully even while we were sleeping the Birth of Jesus found us

The Love of Christ moved first in calling Our Name for His Servant

Predestined our Hearts to dwell only waiting for our Yes to Move In

No matter where we’ve been don’t be ashamed in how we got here

Don’t have to be proud or ashamed of anything, just be grateful Humble

God had us Born where we were in getting us where He needed us to go

Humbled Heart Jesus has chosen you in dwelling until He comes back

Like He Chose Mary to be born into this World that hated him to death

It’s not because we’re deserving, it’s Because He’s God & He Loves Us
