Poem#92 Courage
1 Corinthians 16:13
Standing firm in God’s Word whether we’re standing on knees
Or kneeling before God in our Heart giving our flesh to the Cross
Surrendering to God is never alone even when everyone else hides
Going along with the crowd, the majority isn’t the answer not when
God says different, to love our Enemies to pray for those who disagree
Standing in Faith & in Love isn’t taking sides, it’s Loving People in God
Growing up in faith showing we’re not ashamed in Jesus Christ
Or ashamed of the Sinners we’re choosing to call friends to dine
Jesus didn’t point fingers at our faults, He healed them
Let’s not be afraid to talk uncomfortably in truth & out of Love
Not brushing aside those with feelings they don’t understand
We’re not brushing them aside either to avoid conversation
Standing firm in Faith while being gentle in The Love of God
Through asking for a drink at the well of Living Water of Christ
All while in the checkout line or waiting at a table to give an order
Looking through eyes of Christ searching for the lost Sheep
Helping to sort through the world’s cushions for lost coins
Showing compassion for the Prodigals in need of our Father
Standing firm in the Gospel of Jesus Christ that Saved Me
Sharing the Faith that First Loved us even before Changing
For the Love of God that brings us to wanting to Change
Getting out of our Comfort zone stepping out on troubled waters
Hearing Jesus call our Name to walk out with Him in Little Faith
That’s Courage with God’s Word firm in our Heart
