Poem#93 Contentment Holy

Poem#93 Contentment Holy

1st Peter, Romans 7, Philippians 4, Hebrews

The devil fools us into thinking we can have more than given

Trying to convince what God’s already given us isn’t enough

That’s what the serpant of old told Eve before she bit the Fruit

Mankind has been wondering in search of more than needed

Trying to find our own Worth in a World that will never be content

Storing up treasure that will be lost forever as this earth fades away

Hope we will understand one day how God truly sees Our Worth

While we’re still breathing the Breath Lord Jesus put into our lungs

So that His image could come alive & see His face upon reflection

While we’re searching for the latest happy craze working until death

The Lord came down from His throne to climb a hill to be on a Cross

So all the World could see He’s what we’ve been searching to find

If we could learn to be content in being Holy because God’s Holy

If only being content with Grace wasn’t so hard for us to achieve

For us to finally be satisfied in what we have in Jesus

Holy is Our God that saw Our worth in being Holy so died for Us

Through His Goodness, He’s teaching what it means to be Holy

That we may learn to be content in being Holy through His Word

The devil doesn’t get the last word, we do when we tell him no

That we’re content in saying the Holy Name of Jesus over & over

Through the praises spoken in worship finding contentment Holy

Be Content in the presence of God doesn’t get better than Our Jesus

Praising the King of Kings who’s Lord of All that’s our Treasure found

Being Holy Treasure of God proclaiming Jesus is My Love as He loved
