How are Points or Trophies awarded at CFS? Many members have a total of 113 points and some members who have been here over 10 years+ don't have any.

Every time you ask a question, 10 points are deducted....next.

Dear bobinfaith, It was once explained to me thusly:
“The Trophy / Points system is a carry over from a previous software version of the CFS Forum. That system was in place for a short time for members to review their posts and see how many Likes or Reactions that they received. That old score system has limitations and has not been used in a few years, however, the software developers have left it in place with subsequent software version updates for use by other small forums that still use it. That old system was an incentive for persons to randomly post with little or no substantive content, just to run up their points score and clutter the server with posts that had no usable content.”
That said, once, while chasing a particular topic down a rabbit hole here, I saw a long dormant member who had a -6 points!
I wonder how that happened?

How do you get supporter as a title? Does that have to do with points?
Once a CFS Forum Donation is received and processed the "Supporter" badge and star (for General Members) should be visible near your username and profile photo.
We see that yours is in place, now - it sometimes takes a few days to show up after a member's first donation is recorded.
