Prayer pills and potion

I’m praying
So why am I not seeing
Healing when I pray?
Why are my prayers not answers just what’s going on?

I’ve looked in the bible and rehearsed all the cliches
And quoted them back to God,
But, nothings happened
The mountain’s still there
The pain the suffering
Not gone?

I’ve tried prayer, pills, potions
But it won’t go away
My body’s not been made whole!
I don’t want to go down the lane
Of the cop out of praying
“if it is your will,”
Cos bible it says
“Ask anything, and it will be done”

Have I opened the lid on a can of worms
Best kept shut?
I want to believe, I DO believe
But just can’t work it out

Was it a dream?
Or is it the answer?
But I just checked the bible again
And the thought wandered across the desert of my thinking
God had answered my prayer
as promised, as he always does,

But the answer isn’t time banded
He never promised that it would happen immediately
I had to be patient
And believe…

Sometimes the answer is sent express delivery
Some times I’ll have to wait
Sometimes my new body has been made ready for heaven
And I’ll get it when I go home,

TIL then I’ll keep on praying, believing,
to be made whole
Believing one day
I’ll see what God is seeing
A new creation
Made in the image of God

Good morning, Alan;

Nope. Prayer Pills and Potion don't work. The first half reminds me of doing prayer our way. The second half, "Was it a dream? Or is it the answer?" reveals to me doing prayer His Way.
