Psalm 35;1-3, Psalm 130;6-8, Romans 3;22-26, Ephesians 1;7, Hebrews 9;11-12

Psalm 35:1-3

Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy Salvation.

Psalm 130:6-8

My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption. And He shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Romans 3:22-26

For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; Him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever He shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first God, having raised up His Son Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Ephesian 1:7

In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His Grace.

Hebrews 9:11-12

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the Holy place, having obtained Eternal Redemption for us.

AMEN

When I think on these things, I'm always reminded of Isaiah 53 were Christ's suffering is described in detail. God foretold of his Son's sacrifice for our sins and the horrible suffering, payment that would be made. What a great act of love.

Few of us would be willing to give our lives for a friend. Christ though gave his life for us when we where enemies against God.
