Real Parenting...so Rare These Days!

Yes that kind of thing keeps them dependant upon you.

Kids need independence to grow into capable healthy adults.

I also never used to like it when kids play aggressively and wrestling. one of them always ends up crying and wanting me to cast judgement on the perpetrator. I would chastise my son, who was always the ringleader, only to hear chuckling later on...I could have screamed 😩

Kids learn best through play, and working it out for themselves.

Kids need physicality in the playtimes. Too much heads in the books can be a downfall.

Right, who wants a game of cops and robbers?😁

I wouldn't say too much head in books...probably too much video gaming maybe or watching endless you tube videos lol.

Wrestling is fine if it's kind of an even match. I'm fine with arm wrestling.

Us children were banned from playing sport in the backyard however when my brothers broke a window. I also wasn't allowed to touch dad's precious vinyl records, or do any art because it made a mess. Actually I wasn't allowed to do much at home, as cooking made a mess too. Music was also too noisy.

My mum wanted me to study because she never went to high school or university.

So no wonder I am a wreck and have no job lol.

At least my parents are still alive though. I think they wanted me around so I can teach them how to use the computer and drive them around and look after the house when they go out. I dunno. Parents are strange creatures, its hard to figure out their motives in having you.
