The Staff at CFS has reason to believe that several CFS members, residing in the State of Florida, may have been affected by Hurricane Ian on September 28 and 29, 2022.

Our research indicates that some CFS members, living within the track of the Hurricane as it passed through the central part of the State, may be without power, cell phone coverage and internet connections. We are monitoring this situation and are keeping all persons, and CFS members who have been affected by this deadly storm, in prayer. 🙏

UPDATE: October 11, 2022. The Staff has now heard from all CFS members who were affected by Hurricane Ian. Some infrastructure is still being repaired in several areas of Florida and our members from those areas will be back at CFS as power and internet connections are restored.

Eek. Florida is a wind tunnel is it not?
Pray they are ok.
Of the 301 hurricanes to make landfall in the US, 120 hit Florida — meaning the Sunshine State is affected by roughly 40% of all hurricanes. When these storms do make landfall in Florida, they have a good chance of being severe, with almost a third (31%) of the hurricanes to have hit Florida classified at Category 3, with winds from 111 to 128 mph.
