Our salvation depends on what Christ did for us
Our reward depends on how we live for Him.

Matthew 17:20 (NAS) -

"And He said to them, “Because of your meager faith;
for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a
mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from
here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be
impossible for you”

Jesus knew at the time He said this who He was talking to
and how horticulture works. A seed doesn't stay a seed
unless it is dead or dormant. If it is put into good soil then
it grows and a mustard seed will grow into a mustard tree.
