How do we serve the Lord:
To serve the Lord we must believe His Word and to believe His Word we have to trust it and put our entire confidence in it.
Serving other gods;
Serving other gods is putting our trust in other things, be it our abilities, our position or some other means of help.
We are to walk through life doing those things that are a reasonable courses of action, but do it in His name, having Him always before us.
