I am Messianic Rabbi Ben Avraham. A little about me. I'm originally from "Little Israel" (New York City). Queens, to be exact. (Why isn't there a "Kings" borough?)
I have mixed ancestry. Eastern European (Ashkenazim) and Turkish Armenian.
I went to and graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, and afterwards, continued Bible /Torah studies at Shema Israel Theological University in Miami, FL. I was ordained as Messianic Rabbi in 2005 through Tikkun Ministries International. and Shema Israel International.
I am a member of Beth Yeshua HaMashiach Messianic Congregation in Houston, Texas. My wife Judith and I were there for 25 years. Now we are "Shaliach" (sent ones) ministering the WORD of God as Torah Teacher at "Congregation Salem" here in San Salvador, El Salvador. My wife and I have our family home here.
I teach God's WORD through writing Bible/Torah studies on these Bible Forums, also on Facebook, and YouTube.
The word "Torah" means "Instruction," and that is what the Bible is. It is an Instruction to us all, through Holy Spirit-inspired writers. As a Messianic Believer, we believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah, LORD, Savior, Redeemer. He is "God in the Flesh," the 2nd Adam who fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies concerning himself, and lived a perfect, sinless life, which the 1st Adam failed to do.
We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, the first coming of Messiah Yeshua as "Yeshua Ben Yosef", the "Lamb of God" who took away the sin of the world. It was the curse of sin and death that was nailed to the cross, not the Torah/Law. Yeshua will return as the "Lion of Judah" as "Yeshua Ben David" to sit on the Throne of David to rule the world.
I am the author of the ebook, "God Tales, An Anthology," which is a collection of faith-based short stories and poems from a Messianic Jewish perspective, free to anyone who might request a copy.
My wife and I have 6 grown children, 4 live in Miami, FL, and two live here in El Salvador. Hope you enjoy the Bible studies that will be placed in this sub-forum as well as in the regular "Bible Study" section.
