You, looking back at those times in our lives, we were content with what we were given for hard work, and enjoyed the rewards with simplicity.
Recall that Jesus pointed at such, and stated to the adults around Him that they had to become as those children. Simple joy, simple love, simple forgiveness, and simplicity in satisfaction...easily being happy with what we had rather than sitting around, coveting what we don't have for riches.
We were too energetic to sit around coveting. Burning away daytime and play time to lust and covet just wasn't in our thinking.
My prayer is that we ALL be as the little children, finding fulfillment and joy in the simple things, and forgiving others as our children have done toward us when we wronged them. What a beautiful picture. We are attracted to children because they so easily love us adults who are so sophisticated and hard hearted at times. That has such a profound impact upon me every time I think about it.
