Should The USA Stay Neutral???

That is what the USA did in WW1 and you know the rest of that story.
That is what the USA did in WW2 and we only got into that war because Japan attacked the USA.
It was after Peral Harbour that Germany declared war on the USA.

Bullies always push the envelope. What we see today in Georgia, Crimea and Ukraine is exactly the game plan of Adolf Hitler.

Why is the now-famous Russian 40-mile tank column not entering the Ukrainian capital? Mud, fuel shortages and enemy attacks may not be the only reasons. It is now the thinking that Russia could be thinking of employing weapons of mass destruction—chemical or nuclear—before trying to capture Kyiv.

" an unnamed retired Russian diplomat told American foreign policy analyst Harry Kazianis on the sidelines of a Track 2 dialogue in 2012."

"Nuclear war is part of our strategic culture," "Yes, we would start one if our homeland, our way of life, was threatened, absolutely. Why wouldn't we?"

What is the point you ask????????

NO ONE stepped up to stop Germany in WW1 and WW2 and do you think that history is repeating?? Bullies always push the limits!

If Putin's nuke threats prevent others coming to Ukraine's rescue, he will undoubtedly employ similar warnings to grab the Baltic States, Poland and other areas. The ambitious Russian leader wants to reassemble the Soviet Union, but it looks like he also harbors even grander ambitions, such as incorporating all the territories of the old Russian Empire. He may even be looking for more than that.

As harsh as it sounds, nevertheless, if we want to permanently end the Russian menace, we should nuke all the nuclear power plants in Russia and the Ukraine. Russia will be thrown back into the stone age from which they would never recover.

As would be the western nations that attacked Russia (thrown back into the stone age), probably along with others for good measure. Given eschatological events on the horizon, like Eze 38-39, I don't believe we'll see a nuclear exchange between the super powers at this time.

As for the title of the thread, the US isn't exactly neutral towards this war.

Of course you realize that if we did that....then MAD would kick in and we along with everyone else would be in the stone age.

Personally..........IMHO I believe that we USA along with NATO who KNEW what Russia was planning, could have and should have told Putin to his face.......We are placing the ability to destroy your army along the border with Ukraine. If YOU invade you will be annihilated!

That is exactly what President Nixon did in 1973. Syrian was advancing toward Israel with 2500 RUSSIAN tanks, Mr Nixion made a call to Moscow and told the president of Russia that if your tanks cross the Israeli border...we are PREPAED to take them out with nukes.

You know the rest of that story!

Bullies on respect power. If you put of a fight today because you fear you might get hurt today---you will then have that same fight tomarrow!

I am just an old country boy, but it seems to me that we either join in and put an end to this nonsense in Ukraine OR we put it off and do it when Russia invades Moldovia or Poland.

IMO,we have stuck our noses in too many times and have caused many countrymen deaths.
We seem to think ,being less than 300 yrs, we can police the rest of the world.
Our borders are unsecure, homeless population continues to grow,we have street kids and families that suffer hunger..........don't we have enough here at home to keep us busy helping.
I agree something must be done about the Russia/ Ukraine situation but it should be a world problem and a world solution.

I do agree. However...... we said the very same words before WW1 and WW2 and look at what it cost then in lives.

The problem today is that the WORLD 's economy is dependent on every country. My fear is that Russia will not be satisfied with just Ukraine.
So we can choose to draw a line in Ukraine or or not.....then maybe Poland or Romania.

If peaceful countries ,not those run by communist or ISIS would stand united and censure their export / import trade as has been said,, maybe just maybe they will back down.
If in WW2 this had been done the Nazis wouldn't have taken over as much as they did. We acted like undecided cowards until Japan struck Pearl Harbour!

However here in USA we have more pulling against one another with my way or not between dems and reps. I don't know how the other governments are in session but if we ALL don't have a united front and stand firm WW3 will happen.

Countries should be shown we are NOT going to sit back and let Russia or others take over bc they want the natural resources of those being attacked.
