Poem#82 Smoking Candle

How many of us think of our Bodies like outside Homes

And blow out the candles before we leave this place?

Yet few of us hardly think of our body as a home

Don’t be afraid to let the candle burn in our Window

Jesus wants to be seen living in our Soul feeling Joy

And not as a smoking Candle as if nobody’s home

Too many of us have blown the Candles out in our Windows

Or worst yet exchanged the candles of Jesus for plastic ones

This isn’t the way the Light of Jesus works, He’s not artificial

Don’t cut out faith to your candles wick no matter the Storm

As its through these Times the Flame of Jesus needs lifted up

A flaming candle will be most affective during the darkest Moment

Nobody can blow our candles out except ourselves, we’re to blame

We’re going to let the faith of our Wick grow strong, or let it go weak

Smoking Candles leaves questions to what we really believe of Jesus

One by One will be leaving this place, this body temple of Christ

Only thing remaining will be the Candle left in the window seen

As a smoking candle like we never knew Him or a Light still shining

Hello Walker;

I finally had some quiet time to enjoy your poems. Thank you for sharing your gift here with our brothers and sisters. What came to my mind was "blowing in the wind", or "chasing after the wind", instead of allowing the candle to burn in our window (hearts)

I'll keep praying for your new book and when it goes live. Please let me know.

God bless you and your family.
