Sorting screws: it’s a ‘man thing’

Bought with a price

Sorting through my old screw box
It’s a ‘man thing’
Different sizes screws
Different shapes
Brass, copper, zinc
Some made for plastic
Some made for wood
Some cross headed
Others slotted
Some new
Some used
Memories came to mind
What they were bought for
when they were first used…

In the bottom box was an old five pence coin
Back in sixty eight
It was worth a fortune!
Replacing the shilling coin!
With being so small often got lost…

Sat back rubbing the coin in my fingers mind wandering:-
the widows mite came to mind,
The lost coin which was so earnestly sought
And the greatest price…
The cost that Jesus paid
For my soul!

All the gold in the world not enough
A penny too much
The price Jesus paid for me,

Remembered by finding that five pence coin…
