As Christian we believe there was peace and harmony before the fall. Im guessing Adam and Eve reigned for quite some time prior to the fall.
I also understand that during the dinosaurs era there was death and destruction.
How do you reconcile these two concepts when they say carbon dating places the dinosaur era many thousands of years prior to man's appearance.
Was Lucifer's rebellion (or some other demise) active - then everything made right only to fall into corruption again the second time? -or- ...
 
Did Adam live in the state of eternity and only entered into the finite state (time) after the fall?
 
I think science is a good tool probing God's laboratory but I think we have to remind ourselves that it is only a tool and not an absolute.
I entitled this thread as speculation for that is all it is but my thought was centered on such things as 'Atlantis' and or artifacts suggesting some previous intelligent civilization. Said that to say, consider if our life span was a couple of hundred years as in pre flood conditions, what kind of science would we have? What would our focus be? Now we have someone raise up get into power have some idea that they need to implement in 40 - 50 years making all kinds of mistakes in their zeal then pass on and the next one raise up and do it all over again. If we lived a couple of hundred years it would seem to pave the way for progress. We would probably be more interested in life from a longevity perspective, not quick to pull the trigger... It would seem genetic engineering would fit much better in a science of that world. I understand that the preflood civilization was highly advanced, beyond our thinking today for they still don't know for sure how the pyramids were built etc...
Could it be that the dinosaurs were a result of genetic engineering?
Just a note: if they were then they were not a part of the creation and therefore don't belong on the ark. I understand that remnants of the ark have been found. According to carbon dating what are the conclusions?

For one, I am a firm believer that all the myths around the world point to the same reality. Atlantis, Eden, Elysium, and other mythical Paradises were real places pre flood and our ancestors documented them buthe Bible just took things further. I dont know how dinosaurs even walked the earth back then unless the gravitation?electromagnestic forces must have been altered(maybe by the flood or prior to the flood) but its all interesting.
I have no idea what, if anything we were using our time on earth to pursue( The myth of the golden age does point to us all having a peaceful time on earth and the earth gave abundantly. I dont think we did anything much back then, and certainly dont think we had the capabilities of genetic engineering, because why would God destroy all that only for us to do it all again.?> makes no sense from my perspective.
and 'Work" even though we must have done some, must have been quite enjoyable. I think we just relished in worshipping what was freely and abundantly provided.
as for the pyramids and other marvels of humanity, they were either for signs and seasons( measuring time) or just appreciation of what they saw in the skies.
 
The Gap Theory explains a lot as far as the age of the earth, dinosaurs etc. This theory claims the earth was void and without form because perhaps of Satans fall and not originally created void. The Gap is between Gen. 1:1 and 1:2. How much time elapsed between is unknown.
