The Body of Christ: (6) How is the Body of Christ `caught away.`

How is the Body of Christ `caught away.`

The Day of Christ.

When the Body of Christ comes to full maturity in Christ, it is then time for the Body of Christ to be gathered together to Him. (2 Thess. 2: 1)

The great event of our gathering together is called the Day of Christ. (1 Cor. 1: 3, 4 - 8, 2 Cor. 1: 2, 12 14, Phil. 1: 2, 6, 9 - 11)

Sequence of Events.

The Father`s Throne.

Presently Jesus is seated on His Father`s throne. (Heb. 1: 3) Then at the predetermined time by God a `door` will be opened in heaven and God`s voice, like a trumpet blast bids us welcome. (Rev. 4: 1)

Jesus Descends.

Jesus will then leave His Father`s throne and descend to the clouds with a shout, the voice of the archangel and the voice of God.

`For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God.` (1 Thess. 4: 16)

We are Changed.

The dead in Christ whose spirits come with Jesus will connect with their earthly bodies in the graves and rise first to ground level in their new resurrected bodies.

`the dead in Christ will rise first.` (1 Thess. 4: 14 - 16)

Then those alive in the Body of Christ will be changed.

`we shall all be changed.....for this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.` (1 Cor. 15: 51 - 53)

The Royal Escort to Jesus` own Throne.

We will then be caught up together with the resurrected dead to the clouds where we meet with the Lord and escort Him to the third heaven where He will be enthroned there. (1 Thess. 4: 17, Rev. 3: 21)
