Gifts are limited to the recipient and how they are used. If they are used to God's purpose they glorify the Giver.

In the parable about the master entrusting talents to his servants before going on a journey can be understood as the talents being revelation. He who recieved five was in a position to grow in the Lord, he who received two might be considered as the foolish virgins, who received the Word but not to the same degree as he who had five. He who had one talent recieved that which was given in letter form but stayed right there and never recieved the life of the Word.
Let us not put a period behind what was delivered in ages past but grow into the Word to meet the challenges of our age which is rapture bound. As the seed that went into the ground after the first age of the Apostles will come again into maturity to receive the King.
