I think he has some good ideas regarding genetics, but the way he talks about views that conflict with his own I can't really say I agree with. We all have our beliefs, and it's fine if we disagree with someone else', but we must be respectful of them and not ridicule or openly confront them. This is Christian-like, and is also more polite.
Many out there are quick to jump onto the "Judge not..." bandwagon. After all, we should all play nice, and be just as Jesus was, right?
What I'm getting at is that, there has to be balance. I'm not talking about the ying-yang balance inherent within paganism, but rather the balance of loving truth as portrayed in the word of God. Jesus showed great love for sinners, but only up to a point:
Matthew 23:27 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees,
hypocrites! For you are like
whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are
full of dead [men's] bones and all uncleanness.
And
Matthew 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "
Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Matthew 12:34 "
Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Matthew 23:33 "
Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?
Was Jesus out of character in the above instances? No. He was not. We see the origin of His words:
Psalm 5:5 The boastful shall not stand in Your sight;
You hate all workers of iniquity.
Some might say that only Jesus could talk to others in that manner since only He can see into the hearts of others.
Frankly, that sentiment is rooted in ignorance and a denial of what we are actually instructed within scripture:
John 7:24 "
Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment."
So, we, like Jesus, are to judge others on the basis of the Lord's own righteousness rather than to rely upon our own visuals and human insights.
Some may ask HOW we can judge others on the basis of the Lord's own righteousness.
Romans 1:17 For in it
the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "
The just shall live by faith."
Romans 3:5, 22
5 But
if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? [Is] God unjust who inflicts wrath? (I speak as a man.) ...
22 even
the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;
2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin [to be] sin for us, that
we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
So, the key is "faith." That one qualifier is complex, and yet simple. Living by His Spirit is how we keep from stumbling into the error of unrighteous judgements against others. If they are not workers of iniquity, then they are not worthy of our wrath. If they are simply in error, and willing to consider the matter forthrightly, then they are worthy of our loving corrections so long as those corrections are on the basis of the Lord's own Righteousness, which He works through all who walk by faith.
Amen.
