I dont get it sorry.
It was a test by the Pastor. He put the spoon inside the Bible for a reason. After a year, the hosts still had not opened their Bible to spot the missing spoon.
This showed the Pastor that the couple may have been to Church, but had not read God's Word at home for a full year.
There's way to many "Sunday Only" Christians out there. They show up at church to be seen and to socialize and then don't have time for God the rest of the week. If people just show up at church on Sunday and figure that'll win 'em a place in Heaven, they might be really surprised on Judgement Day. Just sayin'.
