Background
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon laid siege to Jerusalem. He ordered the chief of his court officials to “bring into the king’s service some of the Israelites from the royal family and the nobility— young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians. The king assigned them a daily amount of food and wine from the king’s table. They were to be trained for three years, and after that they were to enter the king’s service.”
Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were among the young men being trained. Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, so he requested to have himself and his three friends tested for ten days and given only vegetables to eat and water to drink, and they ended up looking healthier and better nourished than those who ate the royal food, so they were accepted into the king’s service. “In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom.”
The Dream
In the second year of King Neb’s reign, he had dreams. His mind was troubled by what he saw, so he called for his wise men to interpret a dream for him, only he wanted them to first tell him what he dreamed and then interpret it. They were not able to do that, so he ordered that all the wise men of Babylon be executed. When they came to get Daniel and his friends to execute them, Daniel appealed to the king for more time so that he might interpret the dream. Daniel asked his three friends to pray to God for mercy. During the night God revealed the mystery to Daniel, and Daniel thanked and praised God. Then, Daniel was taken to the king for Daniel to interpret the king’s dream. Yet, Daniel gave all the credit to God Almighty as the revealer of mysteries. This was the dream:

The Application
(Partly written 9/22/10): I believe the USA (and its allies) is this fourth kingdom which breaks and smashes everything and is a divided kingdom, divided along many lines, including what appears now to be a revival of the Revolutionary War and Civil War combined together, via our government, with the help of the media, pitting us one against the other. I see the division in our nation as the established government vs. this conservative-based Tea Party movement which is using the imagery of the Revolutionary war (yellow flag w/coiled snake) to pit Loyalists against Patriots once again in America. Yet, we are a nation that is in concert with other nations, and it appears that behind this Tea Party movement is a league of nations (global) which is also backed by a shadow government. I believe it was no mistake that these bombings in Boston took place on “Patriots’ Day” or that they took place in the city that historically brought about the American Revolution.
The Lord has been teaching me much on this subject over the past seven years. I don’t have the time or space here to share everything he has been teaching me, but basically I believe the USA was created/formed to eventually lead the world into a one world government, i.e. to the rule of the beast of Revelation. If you do the homework and you look up the history of the U.S., the history of the U.N., and you look at the layout of Washington, D.C., the statues, architecture, and symbols of our government and government buildings you will find that we were a pagan nation from early on and that Christianity was only one of many religions being followed in this nation and by its leaders. You will also see many satanic, masonic and illuminati symbolism in our government structures, buildings, statues, money, etc. And, the symbols tell the true story of America.
Over the years I have read numerous articles about our government, the U.N. and this New World Order. In trying to locate an article on the history of the U.N., which I had read a few years back, I discovered this article which spells it out nicely, though I must say that I don’t believe Jesus advocates the use of guns or that God intends that we try to take our nation back through the use of force. Jesus said that he who takes up the sword will die by the sword (see: Mt. 26:52). Also scripture teaches us that it is God who avenges evil, not us. As well, scripture teaches us that this time must come and these things must take place and that some followers of Christ will be taken captive during this time of tribulation (the rule of the beast) and others will be killed for their testimony for Jesus Christ (see Rev. 12-14). It appears to me that this article I just read may be inciting war and may actually be part of this “Take Back America” movement via the Tea Party, but one thing I have learned about this Global government is that they play both sides of the coin, i.e. that is why we are a divided people because our government plays both loyalists and patriots in order to get us to fight against one another. http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/cobb/130219.

Yet, there will be a fifth kingdom, though not of this world. God will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed. This is the kingdom of Jesus Christ, the rock which will break these kingdoms of men into pieces. God will allow this fourth kingdom to reign only for a time and then he will destroy it. Jesus Christ will crush this fourth “divided” kingdom and will bring it to an end, perhaps one piece at a time or one division at a time. We are a kingdom within a kingdom, i.e. there is the established U.S. government that we see, at least on paper, and there is this New World Order which is consuming all the kingdoms of the world, and which I believe has now invaded our homeland and is in the process of taking us down as a nation.
These things must take place, but we must not be afraid. We must trust the Lord Jesus Christ to fight the battle for us, and we must continue to submit to his purposes for our lives for us to live holy lives pleasing to him, and for us to be lights to the world for the gospel. And, one day, when this is all over, those of us who have trusted Jesus Christ to be Lord of our lives will be taken to be with him and to live in his kingdom forever where there will be no more division, no more heartache, no tears, no wars, no lies and deceit, no Satan and his hordes, and we will experience eternal joy and peace and safety with our Lord.
