The Testimony

Used meth and a lot of pornography while being a Christian.
Lied, stolen, hated, slandered Christians, lusted, cheated on my gfs, judged people for their sins.

Probably could say a lot more things, am I perfect today? Nope, though God through the Lord Jesus Christ by the spirit, has changed me a lot so credit goes to them for the help they have given to overcome the things of my flesh. However am I still perfect ? Nope there are times that my own sin probably goes unnoticed, though my heart most certainly has been woo'd by God, through his Son Jesus Christ.

Live in darkness of hatred and hurting others for 26 years. Until one day the Lord came into my life, still was an angry, hateful, judgemental christian, used weed, meth, spice, even while having God on my mind, and eventually he lead me into being free of a lot of my nature when living by the spirit. Still not perfect, nor do I deserve praise, God does though for sure. The Lord Jesus Christ really is the great healer who heals us by his spirit.

Thank God for saved by grace through faith, in and through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Anytime you feel guilty for something you do, the right response is go to God and ask God for help and forgiveness and God will help you overcome by the spirit that is given.

When you come to love God, you just naturally desire what the Lord Jesus Christ would want you to do.

Some people might drink, or use drugs, however we can not judge them. They struggle from sexual things like pornography the thing is we are all people of flesh and we have failures, and we should be able to admit to them in our walk with God.

Love to hear guys talking about how God is working today
And that it doesn’t matter where we start from
We all come and meet Jesus ‘To the foot of the cross
Who was it that wrote in their song
Your still there
Your still God

Hey MatthewG;

Your story tells all how you have gotten past and pressed on in your daily walk with Christ. As brother Alan shared, it doesn't matter where we start from;

It is where we have arrived to meet Jesus.

God bless you and thank you for sharing.

I completely agree here with bobinfaith . Having been cleansed of the past, we now have help in overcoming and real lasting change. God in his mercy has washed us clean of these past sins.

Yes of course the change is important,

but remembering where you came from is important.

To hide who you once were is almost like placing a lamp under a bed, and not letting the light shine which is from God and his ability to change us.

I will never forget what God did for me as he removed the heavy burden. There are reminders of the past in life because the world never forgets. Putting the past behind us doesn't IMHO mean forgetting what God has done.

Amen the law of the lord is perfect shown by your testimony. It works in us to both will and empower us to change or repent therefore doing its work of perfecting.

Philippians 1:6 If he has begun that good work he promises he will continue to work in us with us till the last day. Like David said in Psalms 19 to the end of the matter. . Who can understand his errors? Therefore cleanse me from secret faults.

Psalms 19: 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
