The Tribulation Calendar: (10) Living Waters.

LIVING WATERS.

`Behold, the day of the Lord is coming....I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; the city shall be taken....then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations,.....
and in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the East.

And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, making a very large valley;...And in that day it shall be that living waters shall flow from Jerusalem, half of them towards the eastern sea and half of them towards the western sea;...`(Zech. 14: 2 - 4, & 8)

When the Lord comes with His angelic army His feet touch the Mount of Olives, splitting it in two. Living water flows out across the valley towards the Mediterranean Sea and towards the Jordan, cleansing all in its path.

The Lord then delivered Israel from its enemies, and revealed Himself to them. They mourned, and later cleansed the temple. Meanwhile the Living waters were flowing, bringing healing and new growth along its shores. Israel has a special month to celebrate this.

The month is Shevat, the time for new growth. It celebrates the beginning of the `new year` for trees.

The living waters flow out cleansing the land bringing healing to the land, sea and fish. Trees grow along its banks for food and medicine.

`And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a great multitude of fish, because the waters go there; for they will be healed and everything will live wherever the river goes. ...

Along the banks of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.` (Ez. 47: 9 & 12)

Application.

In the tribulation the waters had become polluted. (Rev. 16: 3 & 4) However, the Lord brings living waters to cleanse and heal wherever it flows.

So often we take water for granted, but our body is about 60% water, and we need 8 glasses of water daily. Much of our difficulties come from not drinking enough water or fresh water.

Then in the spiritual we need the `water,` of life from the Holy Spirit and God`s word. Too often we don`t `drink` enough of the Holy Spirit daily and tend to rely on our own opinions and reasonings.

So, let us `drink` deeply of the `water of Life` so freely given to us by our precious Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

`…whoever drinks of the water I (Jesus) shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.` (John 4: 14)
