The Vengeance and Revenge of the LORD = Numbers 32;23, Isaiah 35;4, Romans 12;19

Numbers 32;23

But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.

Deuteronomy 32;35-40

To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent Himself for his servants, when He seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

And He shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted, Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection. See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. For I lift up my hand to Heaven, and say, I live forever.

Deuteronomy 32;43

Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for He will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

Psalm 37;34

Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

Psalm 58;10

The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

Psalm 94;1-2

O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

Isaiah 35;4

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; He will come and save you.

Micah 5;15

And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.

Nahum 1;2

God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and He reserveth wrath for his enemies.

Luke 21;21-22

Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

Romans 12;19

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

II Thessalonians 1;7-9

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from Heaven with his mighty angels; In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power;

Hebrews 10;30-31

For we know Him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Jude 1;7

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Hello brothers and sisters;

Most of vengeance in the Bible is a noun which describes what belongs to God through His Just and Righteousness.

Most of revenge in the Bible is a verb and personal that describes an action of a human toward another human.

This is why God instructs Moses in Deuteronomy 32:35, 35 Vengeance is mine, and recompense, for the time when their foot shall slip; for the day of their calamity is at hand, and their doom comes swiftly.’

If we don't pay heed to God's instruction "that vengeance is His," and take revenge upon ourselves toward another, then that becomes our reward and God will turn His wrath from them toward the revenger.

God bless us all in this beneficial teaching.

Revenge is a sign of unforgiveness. Jesus taught us through his prayer template that if we don't forgive others, he won't forgive us ("forgive us our trespasses as we forgive others").
