I expect we all agree that the tree of life is the Word, Jesus Christ. The bible tells us to eat the book. Jesus said to eat his flesh and drink his blood. The tree of good and evil will be likewise. But what is it? It contains both good and evil. Of course all good comes from God and all evil comes from the enemy. So it must be a mix of the Word and a perversion of it. We know that Satan cannot create but can only pervert that which God has already established. It says that the tree was in the midst of the garden. Now this was not a geographical location but an apex in God's creation. And in the midst of God creation was a man, a free moral agent, one who could choose. And Satan knew this so he tried to feed God's creation some of his food, 'did God say???. And Eve accepted it and ate his book/tree (for a word is a seed that is planted and it brings forth i.e. a tree).
