Trumpet Sound

The general conception is that at the fist resurrection the heavens will open up, glory shall shine abroad and we shall all run to meet Him in the air, But scripture says it is a secret catching away and only a few will see it. The question is 'am I ready?' Am I ready now? This minute am I ready to drop everything and go meet Him, or will I look back as Lot's wife did? A person might say 'If the dead in Christ shall rise and I see the saints I'll be ready.' Jesus said though one raise from the dead they will not believe/receive it. So we can't bank on some cataclysmic event to make us ready we must be ready now and by God's grace all things are possible. So let us not despise the chastening of the Lord for by it the bride has made herself ready, putting on the Word and counting everything else as dung in comparison.

Hello 2404;

The Trumpet Sound
is always a good reminder for us all, "Am I ready?" We must do a self check daily with the Lord. The Good News is He will help prepare and empower us should the Lord return at the time we don't know.

In Luke 12:35-40, 35 “Be ready and dressed. Have your lights burning. 36 Be like men who are waiting for their owner to come home from a wedding supper. When he comes and knocks on the door, they will open it for him at once.

37 Those servants are happy when their owner finds them watching when he comes. For sure, I tell you, he will be dressed and ready to care for them. He will have them seated at the table. 38 The owner might come late at night or early in the morning. Those servants are happy if their owner finds them watching whenever he comes.

39 But understand this, that if the owner of a house had known when the robber was coming, he would have been watching. He would not have allowed his house to be broken into. 40 You must be ready also. The Son of Man is coming at a time when you do not think He will come.” - NLV

My personal testimony is, should the Lord return at a time I do not know, no matter how I strived to walk in obedience God will still find me accountable in many things (what did I do for Him while on this earth) and judge me.

But He will not judge us/me as a sinner because we who accepted Jesus are already forgiven and saved.

God bless you, 2404, and thank you for sharing.

Bob
