David was an awesome example of faith.

Yes he was. Oh! How I wish I could be the same. But I fall so much short of David's commitment to Almighty God.

God has certainly given me more faith over time, but I also fall way short of the faith that David exhibited in God's word.

That verse tells us that you are not "the lone ranger" regarding sin. We humans are in many ways fragile people who cannot save ourselves by our actions. That is the very reason that Jesus died - for our sins that we could not erace.
