And He said to them, To you has been entrusted the mystery of the kingdom of God [that is, the secret counsels of God which are hidden from the ungodly]; but for those outside [of our circle] everything becomes a parable,
Mark 4:11 AMPC

This verse goes along with 1 Corinthians 2:14 that says the things of God are to be spiritually understood... meaning they can only be understood if one has the Holy Spirit within them to give the understanding, and They desire the understanding.

Jesus wasn't saying that all the multitudes of people that He preached to and taught were exempt from or didn't have the ability to understand... but that because they didn't believe on Him and were truly dedicated to following Him and His/Fathers ways (ways of The Word) they were like what was stated in 2 Cor. 3:14 ... still covered with the veil of the old covenant and unbelief.

This passage was not just written to the disciples and those with them.. but also to us as born again believers. Father desires for us to know and understand His Word. To know and understand His Will... which is the same as His Word.

I find many people, even professed believers dont truly understand the resurrection.

The sadducees denied it, and theres also teaching of gnostics that say Jesus wasnt resurrected that only his spirit was and his body wasnt redeemed. Peoole dont understand that our soul is quickened with the spirit, many people also confuse flesh and blood part of our body as if thats all there is to it.

By peoples actions they show they dont believe, it isnt what they say, its what they do with their faith. For example, I've heard some shockers like abortion is ok because the unborn baby is not alive. Or God doesnt care what you do with your body, He only cares about your spirit, so you can do what you like with your body, abuse it etc.

Hi Cturtle;

Your thread is uplifting and very positive. In our relationship, trust and faith in God will enable us to fully understand the Book God has Authored.

I enjoyed reading the part where our "Father desires for us to know and understand His Word. To know and understand His Will... which is the same as His Word."

God bless you and your family.
