Welcome to my world

Welcome to my world

Welcome to my world
My inner sanctum
A space between my ears
Where the cacophony of the world is filtered out
Thoughts and ideas and dreams are born!

I see the same as you,
My eyes fast tracking to my soul
But it all gets processed
Upside down
In side out and
Back to front
For it to make sense to me?

I don’t see giants devouring
I see ’God in control of it all’
I don’t see a cup half empty
I see a never ending spring,
I don’t see a lost world,
I see a new generation for Jesus,
With a vision for 21st century world,

I don’t sit wasting time
collating all my thoughts
in neat little rows,
I just sits
Sits waitin’
Lost in thought
Of wonderful God.

I hear hymns and psalms
Not yet sung,
Answers to prayers waiting to be spoken,
Visions of heaven
a mighty God.
Ekphrastic love poems written to the King of Kings!
Laments un penned,
Words won’t come
Seeing the state the world’s in…
Petrarchan Sonnet’s proclaiming
Salvation to all the world,
A cheeky little ode
Blurted out
When one needs a quick retort.

The rest of the space is a dusty void
Marbles rattling around an empty room,
of:-
Lost memories,
If only’s,
Chances missed,
Times when I passed by
on the other side of the road…
Treasures hidden
Situations not faced
Faith unused…
ideas shelved
Time wasted
Actions deferred for another time,
Deep hurts hidden away
That can’t be let go,
Where thinking makes my head hurt,

Welcome to my world?
