He counts the number of the stars; He gives names to all of them. (Psalm 147:4)
Were the angels peeping
Through the curtains of heaven,
Cos I saw a bright star
It was far brighter than the usual star that adorns the sky
That I see from my bedroom
on this Easter morn,
As I lay in my bed,
The sun not yet up in the sky,
Thinking
Were the angels all congregating in heaven
Getting ready,
For their Easter celebration
Ready to light up the sky
Were they looking down to see who was ready
to join with the heavenly host, in the celebration
when Jesus rose from the grave?
Was it the same star that guided
The three wise men?
We’re the angels peeping through the curtain, gathered ready
To proclaim the holy birth?
Had they warm up their voices
Remembering the verse
“Glory in the Highest, peace on Earth”
Can’t wait to join them
To sing with one voice
Hosanna to the ‘King of Kings’ To gather round the Throne
To be part of Gods backing track
Celebrating Gods victory over
Death and Hell.
TIL then I’ll just look up in wonder
Pondering who’s peeping through
Watching behind the stars
Joining in the celebration
Of the victory of the cross?
