I just wanted to praise God today and it hopefully be a blessing to someone else. We sang the song "Heaven Came Down" today at church. The first line reads "Oh what a wonderful, wonderful day, day I will never forget, After I'd wandered in darkness away, Jesus my Savior I met". It was such a blessing, and that 'day' truly was unforgettable.
The pastor paused after the second stanza and asked a question regarding the line "And the transaction so quickly was made, when as a sinner I came". I responded by saying that when Christ came into my life it was as if someone snapped their fingers or flipped a light switch - I became a new creation. It was an instantaneous transaction on Christ's part, nothing of my own doing. That's my praise for today, that He could look at me and find some kind of worth.
Psalm 8:3-4
"When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?
