What Happens When Christians Forget?

What do we do when we are taught how to live the Christian life, things are going great, and then one day we make a foolish mistake, fall into sin or things happen that make us fall out of line of Christ's teachings?

This is a question commonly asked of a new believer. How do we get back on track in our new faith?

Or, for seasoned believers who are shocked in the way they handled a circumstance and reacting the opposite of what we studied in Scriptures?

All of us have been there and chances are we'll come across another trial that challenges our faith.

The disciples went through the same experience and Jesus had to remind them over and over what He taught them. But He also promised Ways they would be reminded. Later His apostles would remember as they wrote the New Testament.

In Acts 4:1-20 what would have happened if two of the Apostles didn't remember. Who was there to help them?

No trick questions. Let's discuss and share with everyone.

God bless you all.

We acknowledge, make amends, and forgive. This follows the biblical pattern of contrition and grace.

Peter promised to never turn his back on Jesus, yet he did exactly that thrice before the rooster crowed. Jesus told him exactly this would happen as way of saying, 'I forgive you'. Peter, distraught, remembered and was forgiven.

So it is with us. We promise. We fall short. God, who sees all, knows we will fail yet forgives us. It's upon us to remember, pick ourselves up, and carry onward.

This, I believe, is the importance of seeing our forgiveness in Christ, as we do, we won't be so hard on ourselves or others, keeping this in mind...
Luke 7:47 ASV
Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

1john 1:9 and we have a advocate 2 they need to know this i stress this i use this every day... get back on track same way you fell off. .only get back on track keep going strait what did he say to the woman caught in adultery go and sin no more new Christians must have this told to them all the time

This morning I was musing these thoughts.
We forget because of the Fall.
I wonder therefore, if Adam had total recall before the Fall?
I suppose we'll have total recall in heaven. (but not of things here on earth)

Our mistakes, sins and forgetfulness be ever before us. Yet God has chosen the weak and foolish things of this world to confound the wisdom’s of this world and establish his kingdom. Yet it seems through out all our failings as we rocked back and forth near a treacherous shoreline. Come the next sunrise it seems that God sees us through and starts afresh with us. Every new morning is a new beginning with God it seems. God is never forgetful unlike us it seems ❤️

When we choose to become a Christian.... what occurs at our salvation is a supernatural covenant that covers us. We become bought and paid for by the BLOOD of CHRIST.

After our salvation... we are SEEN by GOD as totally REDEEMED because of CHRIST.

Our mistakes/errors/sins are COVERED by the blood of CHRIST.

I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]. ~Philippians 1:6

There is another scripture that states the "judging" difference between man and God.

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” ~Samuel 16:7

God will NOT lose any of His children... He knows them all by name.
