Hebrews 12:1-2........
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us".
The dictionary says that a Hero is a ..........
"Person of courage and accomplishment".
Allow me to give all of you one of the most important facts of life and in fact it may be the "key" to living life...
"It does not matter how you start life, it only matters How you finish it".
Now, without doing a google search, who knows who won the 1986 New Your City Marathon????
Now, Who cars even a little bit who it was????? I know I don't!!!
But I do know who finished LAST! Out of 19, 413 people, a man by the name of BOB WEILAND finished last!
It took him 4 days, 2 hours, 47 minutes and 17 seconds and about right now you are saying.......Big Deal, what's the point?
HE IS A HERO! WHY???? Because he did that race with his ARMS!
While serving in Vietnam in 1969, he lost both legs in battle. He uses his arms to "catapult" his torso forward, one arm length at a time.
The point is.......He Ran The Race! He did not allow adversity of life to stop him from living life.
He did not give up!
He did not give in!
He is a Hero!
He had faith and desire and he developed endurance.
So........No matter what you are facing, no matter the challenge, don't give up and don't give in.
