Whose Glory

The desire to express ourself is part of the fallen nature we are born with. The expression can find it's fulfillment in many forms, the arts, as a artisan, in a political sense. Those who are spiritually inclined may find fulfillment expressing themselves as a leader of sorts in the pursuit of spiritual acuity. Our current state of existence requires this recognition to attain and maintain a sense of identity and purpose for without it we may experience despondency and depression, due to a failure of finding our niche in society. But this need found in our fallen EGO is a reflection of the Lucifer's 'I'. The born again Christian has another tie post and purpose found in Christ, thou it be a battle against the 'old man'. We may find in life that we might see ourselves short changed not possessing the qualities to assert ourselves in some way shape or form but God has a master plan and this far greater then our current life experiences. Scripture says that what is great to man is foolishness to God and what is foolishness to man is great to God. Consider the hero's of the faith. Did not all have a cross to bear? If we look carefully we see that the cross prevented them from expressing themselves but instead living for God. So if we find that in examining ourselves we find a lack of purpose and even may consider ourselves a failure we need to 'look up' for the greater good is being cultivated in us, not for this temporal journey but for the eternal experience.
