How important is the Biblical concept of Creation???
Genesis 1:1, 31..........
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Then God saw everything that He had made and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day".
Are we to accept that these statements are open to unending speculation, or does God intend that we are to understand that these words mean exactly what they mean.
THINK!!! What is the most obviouse question you could ask someone that could lead them to think about God? Would it not be this question.................WHERE DID I COME FROM?
Even the most primitive tribal people ask that same question. Could it be that is the reason why Paul deals with this issue of origins in the book to the Romans.
Romans 1:18...........
"Men who hold the truth in unrighteousness"/ literally means..."suppress the truth" .
Paul goes on to tell us in Romans that God's wrath is upon such people. WHY??
Because there are facts which can be "known about God" (verse 19). Paul insists God has shown these realities to all men!! How did God do that!! Lets read verse 20 of chapter 1 of Romans.....
"From (or since) the creation of the world the invisible things (God's attributes) even His eternal power and Godhead (divine nature) are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, so that they are without excuse".
WHAT HAS BEEN CLEARLY SEEN????
God's very nature!!!
HOW THEN IS THAT REVEALED?
THROUGH THE THINGS THAT ARE MADE......."CREATION"!
The created physical world around us points us to a Creator! That my friends is why all men are without excuse for ignoring God. So then what happens when men ignore God? Listen folks, they still have that same probing question to answer...."WHERE DID I COME FROM"?
For that reason paul tells us what to expect to fid from them in verse 21.........
"They glorified Him NOT as God but became vain in their imagination's (speculations).
Now then........why is understanding Creation as the answer to WHERE DID COME FROM so important. It is because Satan desires to undermine and corrupt God's expressed account of His Creation. By denying Creation it is easier to deny God's plan of salvation and then the truth of all of God's Word. IF God is subtly removed from people's minds as to who their Creator is, then it is simple for them to disregard and reject Him as their redeemer which of course leaves them dead in their sins and lost for all eternity.
