I became a believer 3 1/2 decades ago and am still learning... I wonder if it ends after we are with the Lord in Heaven or do we still continue learning ???

I see you went to Catholic schools for education, but I know that some religions send their children to catholic schools because their own religion does not provide education...
You may be saved but still have residue from your past... that's influencing you present beliefs...

"And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read" (Luke 4:16).

"Come, learn of Me", and in thus coming we begin the life eternal. Heaven is a ceaseless approaching to God through Christ. The longer we are in the heaven of bliss, the more and still more of glory will be opened to us; and the more we know of God, the more intense will be our happiness." End Quote
God changes not, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He was a teacher on earth, He will be a teacher in heaven and the new earth.

So maybe you should consider what you just said . And I say that with the love of Jesus. Not in a hurting way so don't take it that way. God bless you S.C.
And lots of news it is . Sometimes it is overwhelming. And I mean that in a nice way.
Always a Christian.!!!We were all born in sin. No body can always be a christian unless you take that being Christian as being religious. Are you a born again Christian ? Because at some point in your life you have to ask for forgiveness of your sins and ask Jesus into your heart. Then and only then will you understand the true meaning of being a Christian. You can call yourself a Christian but not be saved and washed by the Blood of the Lamb.

"And seeing the multitudes, He went up into a mountain: and when He was set, His disciples came unto Him: And He opened His mouth, and taught them, saying, ..." (Matthew 5).
"If any man will do His will He shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself" (John 7:17).
Many become disturbed by the word "doctrine" and make it out to be some kind of terrible "religious" word. It simply means instruction, to learn, to teach.
Jesus was a Teacher, not a sermonizer. He simply taught the people. Many preachers could certainly learn that lesson.
