Ann Rice leaves her Vampires, returns to Catholicism

Sounds like a LONG way to go. I am not sure I'd be comfortable righting books about Jesus and putting words in His mouth, fictional or not. But, at least she is returning to the Lord. :)

that is true. However, Anne Rice is a writer. Writing to her is as breathing. It is how she expresses herself, presumptuous or not. It will be an interesting journey to follow.
Have you read any of Brock and Bodie Theone's books? The AD Chronicles are set in the time that Jesus is walking the earth, and they 'put words in his mouth' too. Many are scriptual, but many are as imagined it may be in day to day life.

Never read them. I know writing is her thing. Maybe she should write more like C.S. Lewis did. LOL

She is writing about her passion, Jesus, here. However allegory and metaphor, ala CS Lewis, may be a safer way to go.
