The Trinity

The Trinity

I was out and about today and thought of this. Now when I first became a Christian, the Trinity confused me so I'd like to share this to make it easier for other newcomers to understand.

God is like an egg... That might sound funny to some, but He is. With God there are 3 parts. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. With an egg there are also 3 parts. The shell, the white and the yolk. Now none of these 3 parts of the egg are the same. The shell is not the same as the yolk and the white is not the same as the shell but all 3, the shell, the white and the yolk are all the egg. 3 distinct parts but they are all the egg. Also like God, the trinity is much like that. God the Father and God the Son are not the same. The Father and the Son have a distinct personality. And the holy spirit is not the same as the Son but they are all God. God the Father, God the Son and God the holy spirit. Jesus is God. The Holy Spirit is God and the Father is God. They are all God. :)

So there you have it. The Trinity. I hope that helps for any newcomers to Christianity and other guests that might be reading this. Just my thoughts at the moment. Random but I thought I would share. God bless.

Well you should! It's good for you I bet.
I wonder if that's worth looking up... If there is anything in the shell of an egg that is healthy. Hmmmmm

You first , Phil .... Be my guest. If I have one little spec of shell it makes me barf.

LOL!
Yeah I hate it I crack open an egg and the shell gets mixed in. Ruins my breakfast. :( Then I have to finger pick through the egg in the pan to get the shell out and it get all slimy...

The yolk and the shell are not the same yet all are the egg meaning the son and the father are not the same but they are both God. Both One.

John 14:11
Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.

The yolk is in the shell and the shell is in the yolk. The Son is in the Father and the Father is in the Son. They are one. And remember How Jesus prayed to The Father. The son prayed to the father. The Sone did not pray to the Son but to the Father.

The Son is not the Father.

Hope this helps. :)

Oh, you know what, don't bother about it, okay. I don't want you to think I don't know anything or that I'm some 'newcomer'.

La fin.

Dear, you're confusing me a tad bit. You say one thing yet then another thing comes up which sounds completely different.

How is the Son not the Father if He said that He is one with Him...?

Oh, you know what, don't bother about it, okay?
It's like how the shell of an egg is not the yolk but the shell is in the yolk...

Can somebody help me out here? Anybody know what i mean?

It is written,

FOR THERE ARE THREE THAT BEAR RECORD IN HEAVEN,
THE FATHER,
THE WORD,
AND THE HOLY GHOST:

AND THESE THREE ARE ONE-1 Jn 5:7. There are three separate Persons of the Trinity. These three are illustrated here.

1. God, the Father.

2. God, the Son, which is Jesus. THE WORD is Jesus. It is written, HIS NAME (Jesus) IS CALLED THE WORD OF GOD-Rev 19:13. Also it is written, IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD (Jesus), AND THE WORD (Jesus) WAS WITH GOD, AND THE WORD (Jesus) WAS GOD. Note, Jesus is the Word and He is God. AND THE WORD (Jesus) WAS MADE FLESH, AND DWELT AMONG US-Jn 1:1,14.

3. God, the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit.
This is further illustrated, as it is written, GO YE THEREFORE, AND TEACH ALL NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF (1) THE FATHER, AND OF (2) THE SON, AND OF (3) THE HOLY GHOST:

Once again, we have the Trinity. It did not say FATHER, SON, AND HOLY GHOST as of one, but "AND OF" as of three separate Persons-ref Mt 28:19.
THE (1) SPIRIT OF THE (2) LORD GOD IS UPON (3) ME;-Isa 61:1.

Again, we note that there are three separate Persons.

Thanks, Dusty. Makes more sense than how I said it... Sorry If I confused anyone.

Trinity is like this .

all parables break down at one point but this one's pretty good .

a prism subdivides light into three primary colours .

the colours are distinct yet originate from the same one light . and when put together . one sees the light of God .

since the light is so blinding . God expresses Himself in colours our eyes can comprehend .

hope that helps .
