Why Does God Allow Horrible Things Happen To Us?

when he loves us so much..?

Its a question the majority of us ask and ponder.

How can he allow these horrid things happen if he loves us...

There is only a couple of simple reasons

1) ITS HIS PLAN FOR YOU!! be aware that all that happens to his children happen BECAUSE God knows that we can get through it (we have the ability to cope with it) and because its going to make you stronger.

2) Hes going to use you to reach to other people, remember were not here on earth for ourselves but as deciples for CHRIST and to show others that God LOVES us all.

I hope it helps somewhat I know if helps me, I have gone through a lot through my life people say "how can you still be so happy" "lifes been so harsh to you" "how can you continue helping and loving others when they just neglect you"

Simple answer I say to all its because God loves me, hes helping me through all of this.

And hes helping you too.

God bless you all

I hope I posted it in the right area

Yes, God loves you. The difficulties are to make you stronger and to bless others by your strength and courage in dealing with life's challenges.

Yancey has a great book on this: Disappointment With God

I've lost count of the number of copies of that book I've bought and given away. :) I try to always have a couple of extra copies on hand.
Life is hard, sometimes what God calls "good" looks bad to us from a worldly perspective, but it is, and He is, always GOOD. ♥

Trials and tribulations are mentioned as building blocks of faith about 120 places in the Bible, either by word, or example, James 1/Romans 5 by word, Abraham with His son to sacrifice as an example.

A Father's Discipline
4 You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; 5 and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,
"MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD,
NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM;
6 FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES,
AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES."
7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness. 11 All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

The word here for DISCIPLINE is a word that isn't punishment centric, as the word for SCOURGES would be above. It's not discussing punishment with the word discipline at all, but rather with training. It's like the use in this thought.... I'm moving from the Kung Fu to the Jiu Jitsu discipline of martial arts.
