Hi, I Am New.

So I joined this website, and I have a lot of questions about Christianity because I am a very curious person, but sometimes my questions might sound "bizarre" or weird, so I hope no one thinks that I am an attention seeker or a troll, because I don't seek attention, and I am always honest and serious, so I am not a troll. Can I ask questions about demons by the way, because I've been having a lot of demon attacks, and sometimes I wonder if some stuff are normal or demonic possession or something caused by demons...

Can I please be here? I am new in this website.

Hello, Polly. Welcome to the forums. Of course you can be here. You are always welcome. Ask any questions you have.

Hello and welcome. Demonic influence is a pretty weighty topic. I am no expert in this field; but my impression of demonic influence can be broken into two sub categories: uninvited and invited influence. Uninvited influence is experienced by all people in my opinion in the form of temptation all the way to direct possession. The same can be said about invited influence.

The difference between the two are only distinguished by a persons 'heart condition': whether they are seeking the Lord or are in rebellion.

Also; these forces increase as we both get closer to the Lord or farther away in sin. It is an interesting phenomenon. However; the "how" these influences manifest themselves varies in degree throughout the physical and spiritual dimensions of our beings. I think it depends on how effective we may become in fulfilling Christ's agenda or the devil's.

Then there are also the cases where we use 'demons' to justify or conceal some habitual sin nature we can't let go of. Usually that's because we have not truly and fully turned the issue over to Christ.

I think repentance followed by obedience is the cure to most "demon" problems.

Brother Mike is right on! I am not an expert either on demonology though I have been studying the subject in depth for the last 2 years, both from the Bible and personal accounts from reputable authors on the subject of demonology. Unfortunately, the Bible does not go into great detail about demons and some denominations don't even talk about the devil or demons or believe they even exist; big mistake if you ask me.

If you have any questions whatsoever regarding demons, by the Grace of God, we will all do our best to help you out.

Hello Polly (and Buckets!)! Grace be unto you of Lord Jesus Christ.
If you are having problems with the Devil, it's because you a large target on your back from being born again from above. Satan comes to everyone and particularly all Believers to steal kill and destroy - so whatever you see in your life that is stealing from you, killing you or something in your life or destroying you or something in your life in any capacity, it's not God, it's Satan. Jesus said He came to give us zoe (the life of God) and that more abundantly.

Jesus also was made manifest "to destroy the works of the Devil" according to 1 John 3:8. So everything you see He did, such as bear every sickness and disease, mental problems and all sin on the cross (and then by His stripes you were healED of all that junk according to Isaiah 53:4-5) He did to destroy the works of the Devil, so all those things are works of the Devil.
At the cross He also bore the curse of poverty (2 Cor 8:9) so that you could become rich, and so on and so on.

So if you are having problems with the Devil roughing you up, it's because you don't understand how to shut him down. First you must understand that YOU are the righteousness of God yourself and that YOU have the same authority as Jesus Himself to get rid of him in your life or anywhere he opposes you. See 2 Cor 5:17-21 and Isaiah 54:9-17 for starters. Then see Mark 16:17-18. Believe what God says, get God's results. Jesus also prayed in John 17 that all Believers that would come after Him would KNOW that the Father loves them as much as He loves Jesus Himself.
Plus look at Ephesians 1 and 2 and then 6:10-18. Act on it. Use your tongue to get rid of him. He has no authority, ALL authority in Heaven and Earth have been given to Jesus Who has given it to you, for you are His joint heir - the heir of all things, which means everything. Take your place.

Also read a good book called "DRESSED TO KILL" by Rick Renner. Very helpful to totally Scripturally understand spiritual warfare.

Hi Polly,

I'd love to help you with any questions you have. First of all it sounds like you haven't accepted Jesus as your savior, but rather your just finding out about Christianity? Am I right?

Jesus said in John 18:36 that "My kingdom is not of this world..." and in John 14:30 Jesus also said speaking of this physical world that the "prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me (John 14:30).

When a believer in Christ is attacked by evil spirits, they can through the Holy Spirit stop the attacks by putting their faith in God's protection and by actually not believing in the spirits because the spirits are only of this world, whereas a believer walking in God's Spirit is actually in God's Kingdom where evil can't harm him.

Someone who is not a believer is subject to the spirits because they are walking in their own flesh and Satan is over all those who are not saved since it is his kingdom.

Turning your life over to Jesus is the only way to be free from the evil. The evil spirits are only the beginning of sorrows for the unbeliever.

One believer in Jesus is more powerful than all evil combined because they live in Jesus now, have the mind of Jesus, are the body of Jesus, have his Holy Spirit (which is more powerful than all evil combined because it is the Spirit of God. Believers have to understand this however to utilize this power and they have to be walking in God's Spirit.

I hope this blesses you and if you are unsaved, I would love to help you know God. If you are saved, I would like to help you more because God has spoken to me a lot about this to prepare me for my purpose.

Well, the thing is that I am still insecure if I have the Holy Spirit in me because I have had bad but half intentional thoughts about or to the Holy Spirit and I have no idea why do I keep saying bad things on my mind about or to the Holy Spirit... It's just that I overreact about the sins and some restrictions, but I have no idea that why would I ever say those bad things...

If you truly have believed by faith that "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (that is believed Jesus died in your place to pay the penalty of your sins) and "if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (John 3:16; Romans 10:9). For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved (Romans 10:10). Have you done this? (Please answer this question for it will help me to help you). Do you believe Jesus is the only way to save you from the consequences of your sins? Remember, we are told that "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" ( Romans 6:23). Every sin that we do has such grave consequences that it produces total devastation. Only one sin by Adam and Eve threw all of creation into sin with its death, sickness, evil , sorrows etc. (this was not God doing this, but sin). God does not want us to sin, not because he is a harsh taskmaster, but because he knows the devastating consequences of sin including being separated from him.

God made us so he could share love and companionship with us. He loves us. He loves you and gave you a special purpose that can only be expressed through you being as he is (that is perfect) which is how a saved person is when in his Spirit. You do not even know how special you are yet, but I know that God created you for a wonderful purpose.

If you have asked God to be your savior and have done the above things the reason you are not experiencing the Holy Spirit is because of sin which you yourself say, " It's just that I overreact about the sins and some restrictions." Stubborn rebellion against God's way is you not God putting a block between you and him. Sin blocks us from God since God can't commune with sin since he is sinless. To further compound the problem, when you do this you are walking in your flesh which allows Satanic spirits to dominate you since this is their kingdom.

I must ask and I love you no matter how you answer, have you been involved in any kind of new age, psychic, demonic, witch, etc. type activities? If so, that is asking for this type of spirit activity. Also, just curious about the picture you have for your posts. What is the individual wearing? Is a ceremonial coat?

If you answer yes you are saved, then when you got saved you immediately began to have power over all evil spirits (for when living in God you live by God's power). Even if your mind vacillates between believing and trusting God to not believing and being against God, if saved you are still filled with God's Holy Spirit. God does not hold it against you if you are saved, but wants you to trust him to help you.

We were created in God's image. Every word creates, just as his words create. Proverbs 18:21 says, " The power of the tongue is life and death— those who love to talk will eat what it produces." Every word spoken, either from the from the flesh (which produces death) or from God's Spirit (which produces life) will cause consequences for not only the world, but ourselves. What we speak continues to create the world we are in. If you by faith speak and say I am free of all evil, believing God has freed you from evil, you will be speaking from God's Spirit because your words are confessing your trust in God and God's power (rather than your own) which frees you from the evil. If you say evil and don't trust in God, you are in your own power, or worse, Satan's power and you will reap the results of that.

Some good confessions for you to speak and believe are:

All my faith, hope, trust, and belief is in God (If you trust God with everything, he will take care of everything for you).

I have a hedge of protection around me that blocks all evil.

All my thoughts come from the mind of Christ.

I only believe good.

God always loves me.

God reveals the beauty of his ways to me.

I have power over all evil.

The Holy Spirit is alive in me always showing me the truth.

I can easily discern between God's voice and all other voices.

I always know God's truth.

My mind is always full of Godly thoughts, is always clear, and at peace.

All my thoughts come from God.

When you hear evil or confusing voices don't believe them, but focus and confess over them. Always say the confessions in the positive. Don't say I am never deceived. Rather say I always know the truth. Also, "God is not the author of confusion, but of peace" (1 Corinthians 14:33). Again, " For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). If you are saved yet are confused by what you hear, it is not God talking to you. Every spirit or thought in your head that confuses you should be immediately ignored! Confusing thoughts are not helping you and lingering on them makes your situation worse (or forms the habit in you of believing the evil). When God speaks, however, you will be certain it is him and he always brings us the fruit of the Spirit when he speaks like love, joy, and peace and speaks from faith that good is true for you. Also don't dwell on why this is happening. That keeps you out of God's Spirit. Rather just believe that it isn't happening and focus on the confessions and that God only wants good for you. Power over evil comes from the belief that you are powerful over it and if saved you know you are, because you then have God's power since you live in him and he overcame all evil.

When someone gets saved they receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is there to guide you and if you ask God for wisdom from the Holy Spirit he will give you for the bible says, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7). This applies to salvation as well.

I would like to help you overcome your objections to God's ways. Are you willing to share what you believe are the restrictions that cause you to come against God. Maybe I can help you understand the beauty in God's thinking.

I pray that this helps you, that you turn fully to God, know his great and powerful love, come to understand his ways and live in the clarity of the mind of Christ.
