My Testimony

Jesus Freak

Here is my testimony of how I became a Christian.

I was of course baptized when I was a baby. I really found Jesus when I was 13 years old when I attended The Montana school for the deaf and blind. I met a guy named Ed and he showed me some info on Christian Record Services and their blind summer camps. I didn't attend the summer camp until 1999, and I really got to know The Lord there because they have a pastor at all the camps. And as they say, the rest is history.

Yes, PRAISE HIM!!!!! I am glad to be a positive light for any and all of you on here. If I can be of any help, please feel free to message me here and we can get started whenever you are ready.

Have you been baptized since your salvation?

I think you posted in my thread "do I need a second baptism" but I don't think I got a straight answer. I too was baptized when I was a baby. I went through a period of rebellion for many years (nothing cult/occult like; more drinking, sex, prideful behavior, etc). I finally found, accepted and immersed myself in the Lord and His word on Easter of 2013. Do I need a second baptism?

Baptism- "Biblical Baptism"- is your public profession of faith in Jesus Christ in obedience (Jesus Christ got baptized and he didn't need too...He set the example) AFTER salvation. Anything pre-salvation is not outlined in the Bible.

Think of it this way; a "lost" persons prayer is not going to be heard by God like a "saved" persons prayer. Someone 'hiding iniquity in their heart' will not be heard by God. It is our point of submission to Him in obedience that 'sanctifies' us. That's what makes us "different / separated". Not of our works lest anyone should boast. Christ was 'Baptized' by John to set the example-and John testifies that the "Spirit" visibly (at least to John) came down upon Jesus AFTER baptism.

I don't know about you, but that's a pretty powerful example....

"Baptism" doesn't 'save' you; but it shows the world (and God) you are serious about following Christ. Then the LORD can start to bless you.
