The Passion And The Prophecy ..

Psa 22:1 My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning.

Mat 27:46 About the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "ELI, ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?" that is, "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?"

Psa 22:2 O my God, I cry by day, but You do not answer; And by night, but I have no rest.

Mat 26:39 And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will."

Psa 22:6 But I am a worm and not a man, A reproach of men and despised by the people.

Mat 27:23 And he said, "Why, what evil has He done?" But they kept shouting all the more, saying, "Crucify Him!"

Psa 22:7 All who see me sneer at me; They separate with the lip, they wag the head, saying,
Psa 22:8 "Commit yourself to the LORD; let Him deliver him; Let Him rescue him, because He delights in him."

Mat 27:39 And those passing by were hurling abuse at Him, wagging their heads
Mat 27:40 and saying, "You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross."

Psa 22:12 Many bulls have surrounded me; Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.

Mat 27:41 In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes and elders, were mocking Him and saying,

Psa 22:13 They open wide their mouth at me, As a ravening and a roaring lion.

Mat 27:43 "HE TRUSTS IN GOD; LET GOD RESCUE Him now, IF HE DELIGHTS IN HIM; for He said, 'I am the Son of God.'"

Psa 22:14 I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.
Psa 22:15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And my tongue cleaves to my jaws; And You lay me in the dust of death.

Jhn 19:28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to fulfill the Scripture, said, "I am thirsty."

Psa 22:16 For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.
Psa 22:18 They divide my garments among them, And for my clothing they cast lots.

Mat 27:35 And when they had crucified Him, they divided up His garments among themselves by casting lots.

Psa 22:24 For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from him; But when he cried to Him for help, He heard.

Mat 27:50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
Mat 27:51 And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split.
Mat 27:52 The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;

Psa 22:26 The afflicted will eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the LORD. Let your heart live forever!

Luk 23:42 And he was saying, "Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!"
Luk 23:43 And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."

Psa 22:29 All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship, All those who go down to the dust will bow before Him, Even he who cannot keep his soul alive.

Phl 2:10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

i remember in past forum we were that there were some who professed that our Lord did not have to die for us ... they believed He was Christ but from their words they didn't seem to acknowledge that Christ is divine...

yah, that was amazing, I didn't even think of lining it all up like that...its amazing how God can reveal stuff to people about the same thing..yet they get something uniquely different but similar.. like the authors of the gospel :)

same story,different perspective ^^
