Is This Blasphemy Against The Holy Spirit?

And talking about the intrusive thoughts with someone or a psychiatrist can also help... I just got rid of some weird thoughts about food and people by talking about it... The food thoughts were like very weird nonsense thoughts about just saying things like "Mira's Haggis" for example. LOL. :D

Talking to others might help to get understanding and if you learn something is nonsense you won't think about it because you won't believe it anymore, but to get rid of the type of negative thoughts you have saying and believing "All my thoughts and emotions are washed in the blood of Jesus" will help you best.

ok. I see. :p

Hey Polly. I was feeling the same fear for myself some time ago, but after doing some research, I have come to believe that "The Unforgivable Sin" is not quite as scary as it might seem. I think when Jesus speaks of the unforgivable sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, I believe His words are vastly misinterpreted.

Jesus says that anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. Most people take that as "if you blaspheme the Holy Spirit, you will never be forgiven for it", but I think the more accurate interpretation would sound more like "as long as you continue to deny the validity of the Holy Spirit, you will never attain the means to be forgiven".

To use a more worldly example, I might say that someone who can't balance their checkbook will never have financial security. By that statement I don't mean that if you fail to balance your checkbook, you will be financially unstable for the rest of your life, I mean that while you continue to fail, you will never be able to find financial security. Hopefully that analogy wasn't too clumsy =/

Check out this article, Polly: http://christiananswers.net/q-eden/unpardonablesin.html

I should stress that the issue of the Unforgivable Sin is widely debated by theologeons, and that there are many interpretations. My explanation only reflects my views on it, but I could be wrong about it. I hope that I've helped! =D

I don't know guys, I have heard a lot of convincing things about Annihilation-ism.

I have been told that blaspheming the Holy Spirit means denying rather than saying mean things about it, but I'm not sure if that has any biblical basis.

Honestly, the flesh is always going to fight, even if it's just a little. I don't think you're damned, Polly. You are just trying to train your mind and it's fighting. If one was condemned for using the Lord's name in vain I'd be going down there as well, along with everyone that has said "oh God" flippantly.

G987
βλασφημέω
blasphēmeō
blas-fay-meh'-o
From G989; to vilify; specifically to speak impiously: - (speak) blaspheme (-er, -mously, -my), defame, rail on, revile, speak evil.

Sometimes when I am scared if the fun things I do and have are totally sins, I get accidentally a bit angry at the Holy Trinity and then I start saying bad things on my mind about the Holy Trinity, including the Holy Spirit, yes, but then I get scared and w0rried if I blasphemed the Holy Spirit... And now I blame myself that why would I do this, and now I am thinking that I only have about 80 years more to live, until I die and then I disappear from existence...

Have I blasphemed the Holy Spirit? I really don't and didn't want to blaspheme the Holy Spirit, and I regret all the bad things I said to or about the Holy Trinity..

Now I know that the Earthly things I do (except sexual lusting) are not sins, but I am still worried that if I won't be forgiven ever again and I can do now whatever I want during these remaining 80 years of my life...

The Bible says that the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit means when a person thinks or says that the Holy Trinity is evil. But I think the Bible meant that every blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the unpardonable sin, like calling the Holy Spirit words or being angry at the Holy Spirit is blasphemy...

I am so confused... Is it true that I only have 80 years of my life more remaining and then I will never be forgiven anymore and then I will disappear from existence when I die?

Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Mat 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

I think the easiest way to understand the "blasphemy against the Holy Ghost" is this. Jesus said no man can come unto me unless the Father draw him.(John 6:44) The Holy Spirit is the one who convicts of sin righteousness and judgement which causes one to come to Jesus for salvation. If we reject the Holy Spirits convicting power we are blaspheming him. The Father uses the Holy Spirit to bring people to salvation. If we reject him we will not be forgiven. Rejecting Jesus is the only sin not forgivable which is brought to the world by the Holy Spirits moving on the hearts of the hearer.

Anyone who is concerned about whether or not he has committed blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, or is worried about having committed some sin that may damn them---hasn't.

Anyone who has done such a thing is an unregenerate degenerate. Such people don't give these things a thought and are not repentant.

God forgives us of all our sins when we repent.

1 John 1:9 (NLT)
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

Polly, I have only two other posts in these forums, and they were some time ago. While I was "cleaning out" my folders today, I decided to surf into this site again to see what's been happening. Your OP caught my attention.

I am married and have three offspring. The Lord has placed a prophetic calling on my life. Among other things, my wife and I are active in an addictions ministry (largely drunkenness and pharmakeia, aka alcohol-ism and drug addiction).

The spirit of drunkenness is a spiritual entity; it is one of Satan's boys (angels). Call it a demon, if you like; more properly, it is a devil, an angel of Satan's.

God's kingdom is a kingdom of order, of legalities, if you will. Everything must take place in an orderly manner (although it often does not appear that way to us!). At this moment, Satan is accusing us before God (Rev. 12:10), BUT Satan's accusations cannot stick to us unless we have given him the necessary permission. Since no born again believer would knowingly align themselves with Satan, deception must necessarily be employed by Satan to gain the legal right to oppress us.

For those who are not born again i. e. unbelievers, God says he visits the iniquity of the fathers unto the children down to the third and fourth generations (Exo. 20:5, 34:7; Num. 14:18; Deu. 5:9). Have you ever heard that if your dad is a drunkard, then you are 20 times more likely to become one yourself? Well, of course! That spirit of drunkenness was given access to your family via its authority i. e. dad. And it will run roughshod down your family line UNTIL a believer steps in to stop the buck.

The way one breaks such a familial curse is easy:

1) Forgive those you believe may have sinned against you (e. g. your dad, for bringing that spirit into his home). This would apply even if your dad is no longer alive.

2) Repent of your own involvement (if only for your lack of action) in perpetuating the sin(s) of your dad. Present yourself as a living sacrifice before the King of kings; it is your proper service.

3) If your dad was a born again believer in Jesus Christ (and not merely assuming the label of "Christian"), then he, as your authority, would be the one to bind the strong man (e. g. the spirit of drunkenness), then cast it out of his house, all in the name of Jesus Christ.

4) Ask the Lord to take back the ground that had previously been given to Satan and to restore it unto the Lord's service.

Note that it is not about repeating certain proper-sounding phrases, as vain repetitious words are worthless at best, and dangerous at least.

Other posters here (God_be_with_you, and CCW95A) gave good analogies concerning the blaspheming of the Holy Spirit. Basically, any time one refuses the truth when it is presented to him (and Jesus Christ IS the Truth), one makes the bloodwork of Jesus Christ to be of no effect. In so vacating the bloodwork, one also vacates the grace and thus comes back under the law.

While there is much "bad advice" and other well-meaning but wrong info posted in these forums, as in the world at large, such does not absolve each of us from the responsibility of taking before the Lord all that we have read here. If we don't each do that continually, then the leaven will eventually destroy even the good.

Also, there was mention of seeing a psychiatrist. Don't waste your time confessing anything before one trained in the ways of the dead world. If you turn to a worldly authority ("'Save us!' they cried unto Caesar"), then you will indeed render unto that authority...

"I don't know what is going on, but suddenly I feel like I don't care about the Holy Trinity anymore and I suddenly feel like I don't care if I blaspheme...I lost my love for the Holy Trinity as well... I don't want to become an atheist, but I don't know why am I becoming an atheist....Please just help me instead of bashing me... Don't say anything like "It's all your fault", because it's not my fault.
Polly, simply, you are under attack. Expect it. Be prepared for it; "dress for success" (e. g. Ephesians chapter 6). Respond to spiritual with spiritual. Greater is he that is in you (i. e. the Holy Spirit) , than he that is in the world (i. e. Satan).

I feel like everything is very alright without Christianity, but I don't want to feel this way... I want to care about the Holy Trinity... What can I do now? I can't even regret the blasphemous thoughts... But I want to regret the blasphemous thoughts...
"Christianity" is merely a label, a WORD. "Holy Trinity" are merely WORDS. They are mere descriptions of the SPIRITUAL REALITY that is raging in your life right now. Forget those labels and rather bend the knee to the Living God, 24/7. Don't trust yourself for the truth; don't trust posters here for it; don't trust your parents for it; don't trust your pastor for it.

What is going on? Am I possessed? My concentration got weak too and I've been a bit tired... I've been drinking a lot of green tea now everyday... What are the signs of demonic possession? Please tell me, I need to know...
Polly, you are asking the right questions. But again, realize that you are under attack - and do not be afraid! The Lord has not given his people the foul spirit of fear, but rather his spirits of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7). "Possessed" people don't speak as you are speaking, but those under attack do. BTW, are you a first born child? And I would ask, who and where is your head, your cover? Is it your father? Is he born again? Is he interceding for you?

The churches are scared to death of this stuff. But you, child of God, are not afraid.

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices (2 Cor. 2:11).

I am Polly. This is my new account. And also, how did you know that my dad was an alcoholic? He really was an alcoholic when I was 6-9 years old, and how did you know that my dad is not so Christian? He is just Lutheran, but he doesn't repent the sins, or believe in the things what the Bible tells.

...how did you know that my dad was an alcoholic?...how did you know that my dad is not so Christian?
Because my wife and I have had some experiences dealing with the spirit of drunkenness, it was not difficult to discern the dynamics of your situation.

When the father does not assume his role as the spiritual head of his family, the unprotected children come under spiritual attack from the enemy.

Further, if the father is an unbeliever (i.e. not born again), then the situation may worsen as even more foul spirits rush in to fill the void.

What about you, Polly? Are you born again?

Yes, I am born again. But did the Holy Spirit tell you that my dad was an alcoholic?

Because I am born again in Christ Jesus, I have his Spirit within me. And the more one exercises his God-given spiritual discernment, the sharper that discernment becomes. Yes, my Spirit (God's Spirit) discerned that the spirit of drunkenness was/is present in your family line. There is a known large body of evidence that accompanies and confirms the presence of the spirit of drunkenness. I do not, at this time, know every detail, nor do I need to know every detail.

And because you too are born again, you also have God's Spirit within you. This, of course, has profound ramifications - and it's a good thing!

For one, you possess the ability to effectively deal spiritual with spiritual.

Also, I asked if you are the first born because the spiritual battle rages strongest for control of the first born. If Satan can gain access to the first born, then subsequent siblings are duck soup for him and, indeed, the generational curse can proceed through the lineage.

I am the youngest and second child in my family. I have an older sister only, but she has a lot of lung conditions and allergies and other diseases. :/ And I am diagnosed with Autism spectrum symptoms, learning disabilites, and developmental delay.

I just found out Slenderman is in my home. And he was probably here for long time. According to demonology, Slenderman causes insomnia, paranoia, and memory loss, and I have those 3 symptoms going on now, but I believe these 3 symptoms are usually caused by all demons... Have you heard of Slenderman? It's that famous demon who is 8ft tall and thin, and has white skin, no hair, and no face. People nowdays talk about it. Could Slenderman be Satan?

Polly, why are you so obsessed with demons? We have talked quite a bit and each time this gets brought up. If you just stay focused on Jesus a lot of your issues would leave you

This is superfluous nonsense. No demon is famous, for one thing. I think perhaps you are mixing the real with fantasy.

I am actually quite brave and I am very curious, so I want to know what the demons do look like.

Curiosity in the absence of Godly wisdom means trouble.God warns us about being curious or fascinated with false gods, paganism and the occult.
Oh dear... But I am curious in the way that I imagine myself being a spiritual superhero that wears a polarbear costume (female superhero type of polarbear costume) and fights against the demons, kind of like in anime. :DDD
