Should Homosexual Behavior Be Illegal?

Exactly there are many that love their job.

@sergio And it doesn't make me upset that you disagree. I just think you gotta be a little more consistent with your argument. If you don't think it should be illegal for gays. Then I would assume you would think prostitution, drugs, seat belts, and other morally based laws should be legal.

Yes we are not here to force people but we are here to enforce the truth.

To enforce the truth? Show me where in the Bible does it say that we are here to enforce the truth? The Bible teaches us just the opposite:

“When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem. And he sent messengers ahead of him, who went and entered a village of the Samaritans, to make preparations for him. But the people did not receive him, because his face was set toward Jerusalem. And when his disciples James and John saw it, they said, “Lord, do you want us to tell fire to come down from heaven and consume them?” But he turned and rebuked them. And they went on to another village.” (Luke 9:51-55)

I'll continue with this tomorrow. It is very late here.

When I say enforce truth I mean to give an answer; enforce what is truth.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and be ready always to give an answer to every man who asketh you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.

Have a goodnight

Because the client has the benefit of a good social standing and the protection of his family and friends. Some prostitutes have no one in the world and are trapped into what they are doing.
John 8:34
"Who ever commits sin a servant of sin...." Sin is now their master and they are trapped in what they do. Jesus came to set the captives free. conviction of their sin by the Holy spirit through the Word God, coupled with the mercy and grace of God is the only way that can set them at liberty from their captives.

So go out and start something. Don't go blaming the Church when people like yourself arent out there pulling them off the streets

The church gets tithe to take care of people who need help and further their ability to preach the Gospel. I should be doing something, but I expect pastors to take that fat paycheck and help those who need it instead of getting fancier fews for the church.
Perhaps I will.
You guys have all sort of excuses for everything. So are rapists trapped also? How about child molesters. Are they trapped as well?

I don't make excuses for sin, so I don't know what you're talking about. Rapists are hunters that go out and seek someone to hurt. Child molesters are generally victims themselves, but they are also predators. I don't see how that can be related to a gay person that can't help their orientation. Orientation isn't a sin, but acting on it is.

As for prostitutes, some are doing it because they like money and don't want to work real jobs, but others are really stuggling and see it as an easy way out. Once you get in it's hard to get out. I am not making excuses for their fornication but I feel it helps to know where someone is coming from instead of just calling them faggots or whores.

Such a poor expectation of God who takes what we give and does what He wills through His Spirit-led servants. Our church which is a giving church (gives liberally without being asked) was in a position to give a gift of $5000.00 to another local church that was in dire need of help with their building. That's what people of God who know about giving liberally get to do.

It behooves us as followers of Christ to obey Him and become a part of the local church and to give liberally (after all He asks for our all) as unto the Lord. We have no say what happens to the money we give to Him, as it isn't ours.

The "orientation" is a sinful one and it grips the mind which needs to be overcome by Christ. Basically, it is a mind (soul) sickness.

It helps me to know more about where they are headed without Christ---it would spur me on to boldly proclaim the unconditional love of Jesus and His way out of the life of sin and degradation.

I don't give blindly to men. Just because it goes in the plate at church doesn't mean it goes right into God's hand. Men have their dirty little fingers in it first.

Being attracted to the same sex isn't a sin. It is the act only and you can't find a single verse to back up your statement.

I don't know if you're trying to disagree with me here or what. I hate to assume you disagree with me about everything but it seems like you do for the most part :p

So I guess we can be attracted to animals as well and as long as we don't act on it then well it is ok and not a perversion? God created man and woman not man and man or woman and woman. Being attracted to the opposite sex is a perversion and an abomination to God. Remember Jesus said thinking is the same as doing. If someone can think about adultery and it is the same as doing it then a homosexual thinking about the opposite sex and attracted to them is the same thing as committing the sin. Listen to yourself. You are taking what God created and basically saying,

"God, common, it is ok for them to feel this way as long as they don't act on it. I mean you were wrong God for only making a man for a woman and a woman for a man. God things change, society changes so we must change with it. And God I think you should change as well."

I might have gone a little overboard with the dramatization but that is basically what you are saying.

So, being attracted to the opposite sex is also a constant sin? Just because you are attracted to something doesn't mean you are sinning.

Yes, it does go to God. If you are in a church where God has placed you, then you have no reason to consider you are placing your offerings and tithes in anyone's hands but God. He places people to administer it. Once you relax your grip on the money you give, and reject the fear you have about it, you will be in a position for blessing. You have no say in what God does with it. It is His to do what he wishes.

Yes it really is a sin. It is perverse. We are designed by God to appreciate and to be attracted to the opposite gender. Where the mind goes, the man follows, so we need to take our thoughts captive as God's word instructs.

I don't know if you're trying to disagree with me here or what. I hate to assume you disagree with me about everything but it seems like you do for the most part :p

I don't have to try, and I don't always disagree with you--I am sure you know that---but some of your thoughts you post are contrary.

Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Temptation is not sin (Hebrews 4:15-16). We all struggle in some areas of our lives. Those who struggle with drug addiction or alcoholism or greediness are not better than those who struggle with homosexuality. Why do you keep considering these people (homosexuals) as a special category of sinners who is supposed to be reviled and vilified without mercy? Haven't you read that revilers are in the same category with the sexually immoral (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)?

You call yourself the "righteousness of God" and look down on homosexuals. Read the Gospels and you will see that the only people that Jesus openly rebuked during his ministry were those who believed to be just and superior to the rest of mankind. If you are saved, it is by grace and nothing more. Don't deceive yourself into thinking that you are superior to those who are not yet saved (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Jas 1:14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.
Jas 1:15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.
Lev 18:22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.
Heb 10:26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.
Luk_16:15 And he said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

Yes, but notice that it says "then desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin". So, desire is not sin. At least that's what I learn from the passage that you posted.

I have said all I'm going to say on this thread. Believe what you want. God bless

Why do you think I look down on anyone? You are reading your judgmentalism into what is said, here. Your judger is broken, friend, and you are being ridiculous in making this a personal issue against me or anyone else who dares to speak the truth of God's word. Like Paul, I know I am nothing without Christ, but I also know that I am righteous in Him. God sees me that way and I choose to agree with God. In Christ we are overcomers!

You are condoning the wastefulness of one spending his life with perverse desires. do you really think God can use such a vessel for good? He wants to deliver people from these kinds of struggles of the soul.

Christ offers wholeness, but you offer nothing, and instead, you appear to impede Christ.

Apparently tons of people sense a condescending attitude from you. I don't know why you haven't gotten the point yet.
